Hello, everyone.

I've been enjoying the discussions of sundogs, halos, and pearlescent and irridescent clouds. What beautiful descriptions! I've also read some things
I don't understand, such as "tropopause".

I live in southeastern Arizona, USA, (Hello, Chris from Flagstaff!) and I've
been lurking here for a little more than a week. Our summer "monsoon" season
is just getting started and the rain is really needed here. Monsoon season always brings with it a wealth of rainbows.

I have a special interest in cloudbows. I've only seen one in my whole life,
and I didn't know what it was when I saw it. I mean, it was obviously something shaped like a rainbow, yet appeared to be made of clouds, but I'd
never heard of them before. Luckily, I was on vacation when I saw it and took some pictures. When I got the pictures back, I researched it and found
out that what I saw was a cloudbow!

I have a couple of the pictures I took of the cloudbow on my Web page, if anyone would like to see them. I also provide a simple description of what a
cloudbow is. I even have a place for people to contribute their own 'bow stories. The name of my page is Cloudbow. 8-)

I'm enjoying all the posts. It's nice to be here.

Ciao!
