Tuorla will host an astronomy weekend, a national astronomy event "Tähtipäivät", in 23th and 24th March 2019

Science centre Tuorla of the University of Turku will be the venue for Astronomical association Ursa's national astronomy event in March 2019. The event exhibits amateur and professional astronomy for the visitors. Every year the event is in a different place in Finland and it is hosted by some local amateur association. This year the local hosts are Tuorla and Turun Ursa.

The programme consists of lectures, planetarium shows, workshops, tours, etc. etc., so there's something for everyone. Entry to the event is free, but the planetarium shows cost 5€ / person and the workshops are 10€ / person.

The doors in Tuorla are open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Even though the programme is in Finnish only, there are several amateur and professional astronomers who can communicate also in English.
