On the night of 16-17 July 2005 there was a beautiful NLC display. Early in the night NLC's were seen in the zenith. Around local midnight the NLC*s became more intense, but no NLC's in the zenith was seen, probably because sunlight then no longer reached there.

This image is a panorama made from three images, using the Autostitch software. It was taken around 1:30 Central European Summer Time (GMT+2h)
