> 2. AKM SPRING MEETING
The date of our annual meeting is fixed by now. It will take place on April 19 - 21 in Moetzow near Brandenburg (Germany) . This little village is
situated some 50 km away from Berlin, it has a nice (and cheap!) youth hostel which serves ideally our purpouses (the last IMC took place there as well). It was decided to start the meeting already on Friday evening since there are always so many topics to discuss. In addition you can establish new contacts and refresh old ones much easier in the open and informal atmosphere of an pleasant evening. As last year the meeting will unite halo and meteor observers, and we expect most interesting reports on both topics. I only want to mention the unique Austrian halo observation discussed in this list some weeks ago, and the well observed outburst of the Alpha-Monocerotids in November 1995, a true highlight for every meteor hunter. If you want to attend the conference and maybe give an own talk, please contact Juergen Rendtel (jrendtel_at_aip.de) for the registration formalities.

Best wishes, Sirko
