RE: REFLECTED RAYS Thank you; an interesting observation. I ve been pondering about the same phenomenon for many years. The first time I saw these reflected sun beams was in Kuopio, Finland in winter 1983 or 1984. Since the thing has come about at least one time more, so it cannot be very rare. Exactly as Russ defined it seems to be a case where these rays point to a point in horizon while the sun (or the moon in my other case) is still much above the horizon. In both cases I saw the point of convergence was directly under the sun or the moon. Howabout others? Any other observations? Photographs?
