Hollannista tuli tieto toukokuuksi suunnitellun ilmakehäkokouksen
peruuntumisesta. Harmi, lähtijöitä olisi ollut Suomestakin.

Dear friends,
I'm afraid, I've bad news for you.
A week ago, I sent you the smilely message, there was an agreement with
the Tong Tong foundation concerning hospitality to the
International Optical Meeting 2008 in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Now it appears, there is an insuperable problem, concerning the time
planning in general, both for the Tong Tong foundation and for us. I had
an alternative in mind, but, unfortunately, the alternative too, is not a
good solution.
This means, unfortunately, it's not possible to organize the International
Optical Meeting next year here in The Netherlands.
Of course, I hope, there will be anyway an International Optical Meeting
somewhere in Holland in the near future, as yet.
Finally, many thanks to you for your interest, and not at least to Ágnes
Kiricsi, Wolfgang and Claudia Hinz, Christian Fenn and
Lars Gislén.
