Tässä muistutus ensi toukokuun halotapaamisesta Hollannissa.
Olen toimittanut minulle kesällä kiinnostuksensa osoittaneiden tiedot
eteenpäin Frankille. Mukaan ehtii vielä hyvin. Lisätietoa on tulossa
haloreports -plogiin (linkki alla).
Koskapa jaoston vetäjyyteni päättyy alkavan vuoden myötä (eikä uutta
vetäjää ole näkyvissä), kiinnostuneiden kannattanee olla jatkossa suoraan
yhteydessä Frankiin.

Dear friends!
It's a great pleasure to inform you, today, the Dutch 'Tong Tong'
foundation, organising the yearly Eurasian festival 'Pasar Malam Besar'
has decided to offer hospitality to the 'International Optical Meeting
2008' in The Hague, The Netherlands, in the period Wednesday May 28th
until Friday May 30th 2008, as part of the 50th Jubilee Pasar Malam Besar
2008 in the period May 21st until June 1st.
This means, right at this moment, we can start with the organisation
of next year's 3-days-meeting!
The first thing I do, is to invite you with this e-mail to come to The
Hague next year, join the meeting and participate with the theme:
"Identifying Halos. A survey of halo observations, documentation and
interpretations in the past and at present. The role of the
development and influence of technology and knowledge".
Since the meeting (as part of the Pasar Malam event) will be accessible
for general public, the theme will be suitable for a group of people at
large, interested in the topic, but not (yet) familiar with.
Soon, a follow-up-announcement will be published on the
http://haloreports.blogspot.com/ website.
I hope to see all of you next year, here in The Hague!
