Atmospheric optical phenomena

Atmospheric optical phenomena section of Ursa Astronomical Association studies optical colours and light phenomena around us, eg. rainbows, coronae, noctilucent clouds. The interaction of sun light and particles in atmosphere, eg. water droplets, ice crystal and dust, is common for the most of these phenomena.

Atmospheric phenomena section is in an astronomical association due the interest of amateur astronomers. There studies are not limited only to outer space objects, but includes also phenomena in the near environment.
