    March 31st (Friday)
    Preliminary project plan to be sent to ESA for approval

    April 15th (Saturday)
    ESA chose 50 student projects to continue for the finals

    June 15th (Thursday)
    The final project plan with experiment schematics to be sent to ESA for approval

    June 16th (Friday)
    ESA chose 30 student projects to join the Parabolic Flight Campaign

    July 12th (Tuesday)
    People from Novespace came to check in person the experiments and equipment being prepared for the flight

    July 31st (Monday)
    Journalists who want to join the flight (as a part of some student project) should contact ESA for approval

    July 31st (Monday)
    Inform Novespace of final inprovements on the experiment construction

    August 25th (Friday)
    Novespace notified of the final experiment details (dimensions, weight, power consumption, etc) In other words the experiment had to be ready and finished for use at this point

    Syyskuun 25th (Three weeks before the flight)
    Copies of medical info and results of hypobaric chamber test of each team member to be sent to Novespace

    October 15th (Sunday)
    Arrival to Bordeaux, France

    October 16th-25th (Monday-Wednesday) Experiment checking, preparing, training, information events etc

    October 23rd-24th (Monday-Tuesday)
    The parabolic flight itself! The experiments were performed on two separate flights, on each time two members of the team flew.

    October 27th (Friday)
    Parabolic Flight Campaign in France is over, we flew to Paris.

    October 29th (Sunday)
    Back to Finland.

    November
    Video editing started

    November 23rd (Thursday)
    We held an information announcement at our University.
    The first version of our video, analogically edited 20 min was ready.

    2001

    January
    Digital video editing started.

    End of January
    Video material was digitized.

    February 20th
    Members of PFC-TUT were founding the Space Technology Club to TUT

    April 4th
    Tampere Space Technology Club Castor got the status as suborganisation of Student's union.

    April 8th
    The last version of the video was finally edited after some minor problems.

    April 10th
    First, Finnish-only version of this CD was ready.

    April 22nd
    The second version of the CD, now in English too was ready.

    April 28th
    The fourth version of the CD ready. About twenty CD:s burned so far.

    May 19th
    The sixth version of the CD is now ready. This version feels quite final. Edited the CD covers too and they can also be found on the CD. About fourty CD:s burned so far.
    Professor Kuokkala sent application to the Finnish Academy for funding for detailed sample analysis. The answer will come in November. We are planning to hold the end-of-the-project evening on a restaurant next week. None of us would have thought in March last year that we still would be involved in this project this long.

    September 20th
    The ninth version of the CD ready. Maybe 100 CD:s done so far. Added some photos from the flights and an animation. Waiting for the results from the Academy application. Also considering to copy the CD for to be sold in the Space 2001 exhibition.

    November 4th
    Space 2001 exhibition in Helsinki. We are going to hold a presentation there for a LARGE number of people.
