[Revontulet ja perhe] The amount of our northern lights observetions diminished significantly in 2004 because of the poor weather conditions and our newest family member. The youngest aurora hunter in this picture is only about three weeks old.

[Revontulet] The autumn's first northern lights pictures were taken at the southern shore of Näsijärvi in Tampere. There is a single shooting star visible in the picture.

[Revontulet] The camera's (G3) battery had been dying of old age for quite some time and our laziness to buy a new one got me (Emma) into trouble this time. After ten pictures the battery just died and I was forced to move to the local observetory where some more electricity could be found.

[Revontulet] I took a picture of the aurora corona while struggling with camera's charging wires.

[Revontulet] There were some nice aurora forms at the sky this evening although it wasn't anything near the legendary 1.-2.10.2002.
