![]() At 12:47 The morning was fully covered in clouds in the city of Tampere. There seemed to
be little hope of seeing the partial eclipse there, so we packed ourselves to car
and headed for clearer views. At 12:56 One of the traditional things to do during a partial eclipse phase is
playing with the little solar pacmans formed by all the little holes in the
area. We got the best pacmans with our hats' hole-filled edges.
At 12:56 A detailed picture of solar pacmans.
At 12:59 We teached our kid to use the welder's glas to watch the Sun.
He easily spotted that a piece of the surface seemed to be missing.
At 13:02 The solar pacmans formed by three-filtered sunlight.

This form of photo-trickery became our tradition and label during the
total eclipse of 2002. At 13:51 We've noticed that sometimes we are lucky when in comes to atmospheric phenomena
during solar eclipses. This was again the case, since a nearby thunder clouds icy
edges formed a 22-degree halo ovet the last minutes of the partial eclipse. This
image was contrast enhanced in post-processing.
