Partial Solar Eclipse 3.10.2005

At 11.49

This time I monitored the partial eclipse in Ruokolahti near the Finnish-Russian border. The first observation of the Moon sliding over the Sun's disc were from 11.40.

This picture was taken with Canon G3 and Soligor 2x tele.

At 12.37

The weather was very cloudy, but from time to time I managed to see the Sun.

The best part of the partial eclipse was hidden behind the clouds.

At the end of the eclipse I decided to take a risk and try to capture the Sun without any protective filters. This image has been gamma-modified in post-processing (gamma 1.6).
