Can't wait to see those Picts Michael. Been a while since I have seen a
halo here in virginia! The skies have been overcast the last couple of
nights, so I haven't been able to see mother moon! Looking forward to it
though!

Halo activity has sharply increased this month
and the last weekend I had three days and two
nights filled with halos. Friday and saturday
night I observed 22d halo, moondogs, circumzenith
arc, almost complete parhelic circle (saturday
night) nuce upper tangent arcs, and sharp upper
suncave parry. I got numerous photos of the halos
and fortunately, I was able to stay up til
midnight thanks for the fact I was on top of our
hill camping with my brother. I hope to get some
of my photos resized for website use and to email
because they are either under or a little over 1
meg in size.
