Harald,

  Yes that is a pollen corona for sure but I don't know what kind of pollen produced it.

I hear you elliptical halo too!! Congrads on that one because they are quite rare.

I have noticed that there is a mailing list from the Netherlands talking about the ellitical halo I photograph this past february.
